About me
After working as an accountant for many years in the UK and Africa, I retired early, and soon found that a life of leisure was too much of a good thing. I was immediately enthusiastic when I heard about Digital Unite, back in 2003, as it seemed to fit the things I think I am good at. Having been a computer enthusiast since the earliest home computers arrived on the scene, and with lots of experience of training and a patient disposition, the opportunity to join a network of like-minded people with all the advantages provided by Digital Unite’s organisation and well-tried methods seemed just right.
Six years on, and still teaching beginners, I am sure it was the right move. My own skills have developed with the experience of teaching many people in my region and the encouragement of my colleagues at DU.
Outside work, I enjoy playing the piano and am also an enthusiastic gardener, which incidentally provides many opportunities for home computer applications.
