I have worked with computers since 1995. I help beginners of any age learn how to use computers and the Internet. I can also help people who wish to improve their existing IT skills, including training in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Where I cover: Taunton, Bridgwater, Langport, Burnham-on-Sea, Street and surrounding areas, but all locations in Somerset and North Devon considered.

What I teach:
- Basic computer skills – using the mouse and keyboard and finding your way around the screen
- Using Microsoft Windows
- Setting up and using email
- Getting connected to the Internet and using Internet Explorer
- Using the Internet safely to search, shop, bank, find directions, etc.
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Setting up a computer and printer/scanner
- Computer housekeeping – managing files/folders and emails, backing up, updating Windows and security software
- Digital photography basics
- Setting up and using Skype
About me:
I spent the first 7 years of my working life in Somerset, followed by 13 years in Italy, training horses and teaching people how to ride them. I was introduced to computers whilst living in Italy and found them fascinating and fun to use. In 1995 I decided on a change of career and returned to Somerset where I have worked with computers ever since.
Since January 2000 I have been self-employed providing e-learning solutions and IT training to various public and private organisations. I also provide personal IT tuition to people in their own homes. I especially enjoy working with people on a one-to-one basis as this makes it possible to tailor each session to their needs and work at the learner’s pace.
