About me : After 12 years of working in an office environment, I became a mature student . I studied for 4 years at the University of Worcester, achieving an upper second BA Hons degree in History and Renaissance Studies. In the noughties, I moved into the field of Further Education, teaching IT and Basic Skills. I taught not only in a classroom setting but also online, in an e-learning environment.
I worked for Worcester College of Technology for 3 years as a Learndirect tutor, and have most recently established myself as a freelance IT coach. My website is http://www.the-ap-coach.co.uk I hold a number of IT qualifications, including ECDL, and Microsoft Office certified Expert and Specialist.
Apart from my interest in all things IT, I do enjoy walking, cooking and foreign travel. I also devote time to voluntary work, currently IT tutoring and home visiting for Age Concern.
I believe that no matter what age you are, or what background you come from, everyone has the potential to build some or many computer skills. It is a matter of practice, patience and gaining confidence.
