I first started working on computers in 1973, and the first one I worked on was as big as a bus and less powerful than a modern mobile phone. I have watched computers develop throughout this time, whilst working in the Textiles Industry. I decided on a change and for the past 6 years I have been teaching Information and Communications Technology in a High School. I have taught every skill level of child, including A level, but I get the greatest satisfaction from seeing ‘the light go on’ when I have explained something new.
I expect to be able to transfer the patience and skill that I use in the classroom to make newcomers to the world of the internet enjoy every minute and discover how the digital age will help them.
My 25 years in industry have given me mountains of experience in working with people as well as introducing new technology, so I am happy to come along and help you whether at home or at work, and even if you haven’t yet got a computer.
