Kirt Bynoe – Harwich, Clacton & Frinton

Posted in All Tutors, Essex, Suffolk

Computers and everything IT are pretty much an integral part of my life and I’d like to continue to work with IT, and share the experience and expertise I’ve built up over the years with others. Unfortunately many within the industry want to keep IT a “black art”; this seems strange as computers are now an everyday part of nearly everyone’s life as is driving a car or using the public library and most us can do those things easily. I want to work with others who are keen to find out about technology and help them put it to every day use in their lives.

Where I cover: South of Ipswich to Harwich, Clacton & Frinton. Postcodes: CO7, CO11, CO12, CO13, CO14, CO15, CO16, IP9.

What I teach:

  • Using computers and the internet
  • Word, Excel, Power Point etc
  • Communications with email, instant messaging and audio / video
  • Security and keeping safe online
  • Understanding computers, the components and making the most of them

About me:

I guess I’ve been in love with Personal Computers ever since Sir Clive Sinclair produced the ZX81 and later when I acquired my own BBC micro computer, wow! Fast forward to Windows with Plug-and-Play, it was like ‘rock-n-roll’. Things are very different now but I like to think my enthusiasm hasn’t changed as much as the technology.

Helping people learn about computers and the internet is a wonderful experience and one which always gives me a real sense of achievement.

When I’m not in front of the screen (or asleep)? Spanish Guitar (playing and learning), travelling and mixing with people of different cultures are my things!
